After the death of their Super Villain parents, five teenagers are on the run. Nico, Karolina, Gert, Chase and Molly are now in survival mode, hiding out in an abandoned hospital and trying to regain a sense of normalcy. But super-heroes don't get to be normal. When the Runaways try to rescue a teenage girl from becoming a human sacrifice, their mission gets intercepted by a bunch of punks dressed up as the Pride, aka their parent's former coven. The Runaways know that evil adults orchestrating crime in L.A. isn't the best form of government, so they agree to help defeat them. As the teens confront threats from every angle, things begin to unravel around Chase and Gert's growing relationship, Nico's self-doubt, Karolina's budding romantic interest in the rescued girl, and Molly's awkward puberty questions.
