Previously, Shawn's battle with his inner self came at a critical moment. He must tell the people of Charlotte the truth of where he is from or keep it hidden, and he chose the latter. Introducing the leaders and prominent characters of this community, Shawn found himself in a world he doesn't understand, and must now adapt to survive. Shawn is still haunted by the events of his past, and will find himself in great danger unless he is able to persevere and rise above the challenges set forth for him.
